I haven’t exactly been keeping this blog up and running and here’s the reason.
See, I stopped going in to gym a few weeks ago, I’ve not given up at all on my fitness journey and my rehab, just stopped going in to the gym.
I have instead chosen to focus more on my full home routine. As such I do a little bit every day.
Take today.
I have done many squats, weighted and body weight, I think I did 30 body weight squats, then I have a barbell that I use and that has 40kg’s on it I think, so I did another 20 or 30 weighted squats with that.
Then I switched and did some bicep curls with that 40kg barbell.
I then did some tricep work with the dumb bells.
See my whole idea for fitness journey and furthermore my recovery, isn’t to just do the craziest set of exercises and call it a day. But rather to carefully consider and plan my routine, to methodically get fitter and stronger.
As such I’ve chosen to split my routine up into different days for work, but keep it more or less the same.
I’ve watched and done research and have learned that one of the best methods for becoming stronger is to train to or near failure, as heavy as possible.
Ok my 40kg isn’t nearly as heavy as I can lift, but it’s a comfortable weight to do a few reps with.
The main thing is to always have fun and be comfortable, remain consistent.
