Step count and feeling good.

I love getting my step count up. The thing about getting your steps up is it always makes you feel better. And what also helps with that is lifting some weights and exercises. Like today, I wasn’t feeling particularly down but decided to do some exercises and lift weights and felt so much better afterwards.

It’s down to the oxytocin released when you strain hard. It always feels good.

So if you’re feeling down a and wanna feel better, just take a 10kg dumb bell (22lbs) and do 20-30 reps, you’ll feel so much better about yourself and feel like you can tackle anything.

I threw in a couple sit ups, leg raises, plank, bicycle kicks and squats (just for good measure), and I pretty much do those exercises daily.

One thing I’ve noticed from my daily exercise is it really is helping my mental state and my physical state is looking so much better, which in turn is inspiring me to work out more. Go that little bit harder. Do those 2 extra reps to build strength (I think that’s called hypertrophy through progressive overload).

Happy exercises.
