Todays gym sesh

Today I had a really good gym workout.

You see the personal trainer I have (or should I say biokineticist which is the correct name) is the same age as me so he and I really get on well.

We give each other all sorts of friendly banter and I often tease him. But no seriously, this guy is a bloody beast of a man. His calves are insanely well built and he is absolutely so strong. I’m strong but he’s on another level.

Ok it is kinda his job. But still he has taken it to the next level.

My average session consists of cycling for 10 minutes then a lengthy “warm up”, which is stretching and a bunch of sit-ups, leg raises and a bunch of other core workouts.

After I do the “warm up” I usually do some other stuff on the reformer (a machine to work legs or arms).

Then I often the the dreaded “plank” (I dunno if that’s the actual name) but it’s tough.

My leg usually ends up vibrating like it has epilepsy because of the brain signals being a bit screwed up

Let me just say it’s really tough and in an hour of exercise I end up sweating a lot. Which is never a bad thing. That’s one thing I love. Getting stronger and fitter.

As well as getting stronger I also build the correct muscles, which is the good thing about biokinetics. It’s more of a sport therapist so a biokineticist knows which muscle groups to isolate to get the best out of your body, that also makes them pretty great for rehab because a bio can get the best for your body which is exactly what is needed when I’m trying to strengthen specific muscles.

I’m gonna call this post it for now but I’ll be back.
